Abstract

In September 1928, the then captains Emilio Alamán and Vicente Rojo published the first volume of the Military Bibliographical Collection. This collection of military technical books, both national works as well as translations from foreign specialists, ran on a monthly basis until it was interrupted by the outbreak of the Civil War. This periodical tried to cover all topics worthy of analysis, mainly works about the diverse military branches. It also included controversial and innovative topics as motorization and mechanization issues, subject of this article, which were object of broadly debates both in Spain and abroad on the time.
